25,000 Nazarenes gathering together in one place to worship the Lord is quite a sight! That is approximately how many came together here in Orlando today as retiring General Superintendent Paul Cunningham brought the morning message. He spoke from Ephesians 3:14-21 about our God who can do “immeasurablymore than all we ask or imagine.” What a great reminder of the truth of God’s power and grace to be at work in tranforming ways in our lives and our churches!
In the evening, another great crowd gathered to hear G.S. Nina Gunter, the first woman to serve as a general superintendent, as she challenged the people to “make the crossing” speaking from the book of Joshua and the experience of the Israelites crossing over the Red Sea. What might God do with a church that is willing to step out in total faith in Him and cross over into the unknown filled with adventure, risk, possibility, and hope. I hope that will be our church!
It is great to have 25,000 here, but it is also wonderful to connect with one or two friends you haven’t seen for a while. Below are a couple pictures of some of our friends from Ethiopia I met up with. In one picture we are with Missionary Terry Barker, who became a great friend of our church when he visited last fall, and Pastor Anbessah, a pastor, district superintendent, and compassionate ministry director in Ethiopia. In the other, we are with Pastor Ermias and his wife, Mulu. Ermias is the Field Strategy Coordinator for all of the Horn of Africa. I had a great time visiting with them. They pass on all their love to our church and especially to those who went on the trip last December.
I’ve heard we had an outstanding Lord’s Day at Coast Community as well. Thanks for carrying on the work in our own local mission field! Peace-
Great pictures! WOW bloging, I’m really new to this part of the internet and never know what to say which is not like me at all. Anyway glad you’re having a wonderful time. See you when you return.

Thanks for the comment! Fun to connect this way too. We are having a good time – connecting with folks and seeing what is going on in the church around the world. Thanks for your prayers. See you soon.
Awesome!! So fun to be able to keep up with all that’s going on there. Give a great big hug to all my PLNC friends, will ya! 🙂 Hope you’re staying cool, too.
We had a great service here yesterday, Rolf did a great job and it was so fun to see baby Rudy, too. Miss you all too! See you soon–Hugs, B
Thanks for following along Beck – we are having a nice time and seeing lots of folks. Always fun to follow the voting for G.S. Looks like perhaps we will have our first G.S. from outside the U.S. elected. Eugenio Duarte from Africa is leading in the voting so far and should be elected in the morning…then just two more to go.
