How We Work Together
If it’s broken, fix it.
If it’s empty, fill it up.
If it’s open, shut it.
If it’s out, put it away.
If it’s messy, clean it up.
If you can’t, then report it.
That’s responsibility.
Seems pretty fitting for a church family as well, wouldn’t you agree? The truth is, while it may be easier to let somebody else take responsibility for things that need attention, something significant happens when we each step up to do our part. Something special happens in us as we feel ourselves contributing to something bigger than ourselves, and of course something beautiful happens in the family as each member gives their best effort.
So keep your eyes open would you? Stay alert to the needs and concerns that may emerge in the Coast Community Family. And when you see a need – whether it be a piece of trash on the playground that needs picking up, a table that needs to be moved, or a person that needs to be prayed with – don’t look over your shoulder for someone else to take care of it, don’t wait for someone else to do the job. Instead, do what you can, when you can, the very best that you can. After all, that’s what family is for.
I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I’m part of the Family, the Family of God.
– Bill Gaither
It’s what drew us to the church up on the hill in the first place. Love and care and responsibility for each other. We could see it right off the bat. So glad we get to be a part of it.

And the Rules I had hanging in the Kitchen area for years and still have it.
Mom’s House Rules
If you sleep in it……make it up.
If you wear it…. hang it up
If you drop it—-pick it up.
If you spill it….wipe it up.
If you eat out of it…..wash it up.
If you open it…..close it up.
If you empty it….fill it up.
If it rings….answer it.
If it cries…love it.
Was looking for info on the pantry your making for the church body in need. I am interested in being on that committee. If a commiittee is formed. But right now I understand that the children are working on that project. At the Unity Shoppe the children put all the can goods & other food items in order. It is good to get them involved in that project.
Also trying to learn my way around on this site. See you Soon! Diana Bales
